Naturopathic doctors are trained in a variety of physical therapeutic approaches, including:

  • soft tissue work — therapeutic massage
  • naturopathic manipulation of the body — muscle stretching and/or mobilization and adjustment of the spine and extremities
  • hydrotherapy techniques — the therapeutic use of water, including hot & cold packs/baths, sauna, steam, constitutional hydrotherapy, etc.
  • exercise therapy — general assessment including active and passive range of motion, stretching and strengthening recommendations
